Summary: Commissioned a logo from Sandy, it looks amazing! Wrapped up a few more orders as well. The aluminum I ordered for building the enclosure also arrived, so I started building that and tried to get as much done as I could before we left for Japan. I was able to get some wood cut at home depot and assemble the box to about 80% before we left.
I also got my BTT Manta M8P board and the CB1 it comes with in the mail. I had to wait until after I got back from Japan to start working on it. And (spoilers) I couldn’t get it to work and wound up giving up on it after sinking a lot of time into it. Pretty frustrating, but you can’t win them all. I’m learning that forcing mobo swaps is pretty much never worth the time.Â
In addition to the logo, the enclosure, and the upgrades, I also received all the wholesale pieces I bought on Alibaba so I can start producing signs faster and with less overhead.Â
I spent some time working on a takehome assessment for an interview at a local engineering firm as well, but they rejected me after the final round. Kind of a bummer since I put some real effort into it, but I’m not sweating it anymore.
