I build new things to learn new things.

Four Emerging Tech Areas I’m interested:

  1. Cislunar Space Infrastructure: Asteroid Mining,  O’Neil Cylinders, and Lunar Factories.
  2. Industrial-Scale Automated Insect Protein Farms: as a means of creating a more efficient, and more sustainable food supply for earth and beyond
  3. Nuclear Fusion & Superconductor Transmission: to dramatically increase our civilization’s access to energy.
  4. High Precision Graphene Production at Scale: an entire new industry of 2D material science will emerge as QC on nanomaterials matures
This website is meant to be a personal project portfolio while I continue to develop my skills and eventually work on one of these.

About Me

I am an Electrical Engineer currently in Olympia, WA. I have always wanted a lab to build cool projects in, and now I have one.

I build what I think is cool. I also like learning new things. Pursuing projects outside my knowledge area is my method of becoming a more versatile and creative engineer. I work as a Power Systems Analysis Engineer professionally.

Lab Philosophy

“All Science is just appeal to authority unless you validate the results yourself”

It’s difficult for me to consider academic knowledge valid unless you can personally demonstrate it through some built project. Schools tell you what Science is supposed to be with Authority, which I don’t like much. I’ve always thought it of it the process of deepening your relationship with the universe/nature through many small experiments. There’s something intimate and raw about decoding natural phenomena, and slowly learning to manipulate them one’s own end. It’s supremely creative.

Electricity is the energy that permeates and gives structure to most of the observable universe. That’s why I’m interested in it, and this website is mainly for documenting my explorations through it and the field of engineering.
